39 weeks today! This is it, the last week of my countdown!
Having gone to the chiropractor yesterday has resulted in me having lots of energy. Yesterday Bill came home to me vacuuming under the rugs and the Christmas tree. Usually he comes home to me groaning on the sofa that my pelvis is broken and I'm pretty grumpy and tired, instead of being active and energetic.
It lasted today too, where I had a craving for cake but no ingredients, so I walked all the way to the store in misty rain to get some. No naps today either! I did lots of walking once I got home too. Now my pelvis is just killing me! I didn't get to make my cake yet either.
I slept SO well last night. After a week of barely sleeping, I went to bed around 1AM and slept in until noon. It was wonderful! Baby still feels different when he moves, so I'm thinking that he's still anterior and I'm hoping he doesn't flip back.
I've been reading through Katie's blog to see how I was at this time with her. It was actually encouraging to see that things started just a few days away from where I am now. By the time I was 39 weeks and 3 days, I had two bloody shows and lots of contractions and the midwife had labeled me in early labor. It was only four days after that when my water broke. My labor kept trying to start and then would stall, but perhaps this time it'll know what it's doing better. I wouldn't mind seeing some hopeful signs when I'm 39w, 3days - which is this weekend!
My ticker above is right - I'm hoping this baby is not a latecomer - or if he is, he's only a few days late. But we'll see!
I'm too hurting and exhausted to climb the stairs to take a belly picture, so that'll be happening tomorrow.
