I'm so surprised - today is going really well! A big factor of that is because both kids just took naps - at the same time! And both of them slept for about three hours. Ah, growth spurts, they're wonderful! And because Will actually slept pretty well last night (and his new size one diapers meant that I didn't have to change him and the bed when I accidently slept for more than two hours at a time!) I have energy today. I actually feel awake for once! It's lovely! Thanks to this burst of energy, I tackled the dishes and pots today, folded three loads of laundry, sorted through the baby's clothes to put the newborn ones away (but not without tears threatening!), fixed the vacuum cleaner and took the leftover Elizabeth memorial from her angelversary back upstairs. I even had some time to sit by myself, eat a hot meal and enjoy watching tv while the snow fell outside. It's the most relaxing and productive day I've had in a long time! I'd love to start getting Katie back into napping again. She does it about every other day all by herself as is and gives me a break from her terrible two's combined with regression from the baby.
Now I'm just hoping that all of this snow doesn't mean that I'm left all alone tonight. They're calling for over ten inches, and the snow that's been falling since early this morning is still falling now. Looking outside at the street that hasn't been cleared despite being on a snow emergency route, it seems like we have quite a few inches. I'm worried that Bill won't be able to leave work in our car. The weather is always worse where he works, and getting out of the hilly parking lot is a struggle when any snow or ice is on the road. Luckily ever since I heard about the snow storm yesterday, I've been charging the makeshift emergency cell phone that my FIL gave us and I sent it with him so he can call me if he has to stay over or call for help if he gets stuck somewhere. I'd be a nervous wreck if he didn't have it!
