Will's Follow Up

Will had his follow up appointment today for his Bronchiolitis. Even though we were told that it usually doesn't go away for 2-3 weeks after being discharged from the hospital and that he may develop ear infections and need to go on antibiotics, it turned out that he's perfectly healthy now! No problems anymore. He's been sleeping in his swing since we got home from the hospital so that he could sleep at an incline, so I asked the doctor if it was okay to let him sleep flat again. She told me to treat him like a totally normal baby because he's all back to being healthy. I was so relieved! I didn't know how to feel going into this, because last week I under-reacted, thinking that he wasn't too bad and then we ended up in the hospital for three days.

He also had no problem gaining weight even through the sickness! He's only 3 oz off of being 15lbs. They weighed him today and told me that he may have lost quite a bit of weight from a week+ sickness, and instead he's gained 6oz since last Wednesday. This kid has NO problem with gaining lots of weight!

He's also one of the happiest babies I've ever seen. Katie was a content, sweet baby who loved to smile, but even she didn't smile, coo and giggle as much as Will does. He seems to have the most extreme moods - he's either super excited and happy and loving life or he's incredibly angry and screaming, not much in between! His cries don't start out as little whimpers that slowly escalate - they start out full blast impatient roars. When he's happy, he's REALLY happy and when he's anything else, he's really angry! lol. Even throughout his sickness, he was a happy little smiling baby.
