I update my WTT blog on a weekly basis, which makes me forget that I'm supposed to be updating this page too! I sometimes forget they're not the same one - the one problem with having so many blogs!
This last month has been a huge one for development with Will. He has shed any indication that he's a baby and is now a full fledged toddler. He can repeat pretty much anything Katie says. He has no trouble climbing on anything - I'm constantly having to grab him before he runs up the stairs, or climbs on the top of the sofa. Now he comes up to me, tugs on my shirt and says "poo! poo!" when he needs his diaper changed, and then goes over and lays down, patiently waiting as I gather supplies.
We put away his pack and play yesterday and his exersaucer, as he hasn't sat in either of them for a while. He only wants to be on the floor exploring at all times. Getting him to sit in his high chair is a struggle too, he hates being confined.
He LOVES that it's spring again! Always the outdoor baby, he's having a blast reconnecting with the grass again and feeling the warm breeze on his face. This is going to be such a fun summer, he loves being outdoors all day.
Will loves cars. He has a few that he plays with all day. While he drives them around, he says "bruuuuuum, bruuuuuuum" for car noises. He also still loves his fishes, and talks to them all day.
His newest thing is high fives. He is always up to giving anyone and everyone a high five!
Katie now wants him to be her playmate, and he's starting to actually do it. She'll sit down under the table and say "help, Will! Help me!" and he'll speed over to her, grab her hands, and she'll pretend to be rescued by him. Sometimes when she's yelling help, I'll think she actually needs it and go over to help. She'll say "no, I only want Will! Will needs to help!" I love watching them be buddies! Will gets such a kick out of getting to participate in Katie's playtime and be like a big kid. He definitely doesn't want to be a baby anymore!
Will is getting a passport next month, as he'll be leaving the country for the first time before he's two! And Katie will be leaving the country for the second time in only three years. They're going on a Disney cruise to the Western Carribean on the Fantasy ship on Halloween! Katie can't sit still about it, she's so eager to go (almost as much as me!) and I know Will is going to have a blast too. He loves Mickey! He'll also love the open decks and the private beach.
He's also going to be raised as a little Southern boy! We'll be moving to Georgia or North Carolina in 2-3 years (or as soon as possible, really). Katie will be a little Southern Belle and Will's personality is just going to thrive in that new enviroment. I can't wait to get down there with them!
